2017 VW GTI Autobahn
The fully restored white Mk7 GTI that became the starting point of the Lakache Auto story and the benchmark for the later Mk8 project.

THE G80 IS GETTING CLOSE.
The Genesis arrived as a non-runner. Since then the engine has been brought back, the headlight confirmed, coolant vacuum-filled and the fender liner installed. The next stage includes the airbox, oil service, underbody covers and then the first proper drive and final cleanup.

IS THE PROOF.
Show what arrived damaged, incomplete or non-functional before showing the finished result.
Diagnosis, parts, repairs, mistakes and solutions stay part of the story rather than being edited out.
Completed cars continue into final reveals, ownership content or documented Lakache inventory when appropriate.
Some builds eventually become available.
When a documented Lakache project is offered for sale, its build history stays connected to the vehicle so buyers can see more than the finished photos.
