Before the growing project garage, documented rebuilds and enthusiast inventory, there was a simple idea: work on the cars, understand the problems and share what actually happened.

The beginning of Lakache Auto.

The white Mk7 GTI represents the beginning of the Lakache Auto story—before the newer projects, bigger repairs and expanding garage.

The approach was simple: do the work, learn from it and document the experience honestly. Diagnoses can change. Repairs can fight back. Projects can take unexpected turns.

That reality became part of the identity. The cars have changed, but the idea has not.
