Non-Runner Solved
Figure out why the G80 arrived as a non-runner, correct the problem and get the car running again.
The Genesis arrived as a non-runner after collision damage. The first job was figuring out why. Once diagnosed and fixed, it came back to life — and that was only the beginning of the rebuild.

The G80 arrived unable to run under its own power. Before worrying about making the car look complete, the first challenge was understanding why the car would not run and determining what the collision had left behind.
That diagnosis became the first win of the project. The cause was identified, repaired and the Genesis was brought back to life. From that point forward, the project changed from recovering a non-runner to rebuilding a running collision-damaged car.
Getting the engine running changed the direction of the entire build. It confirmed that the Genesis had a foundation worth continuing with and allowed attention to move toward the remaining collision-related repairs.
Running did not mean finished. The front of the car still needed work, and the cooling, lighting and HVAC systems all had to be addressed before the G80 could be considered properly recovered.
With the non-running problem solved, the build now moves through the systems affected by the collision one stage at a time.

Install and test the replacement headlight as the damaged front end continues coming back together.
Vacuum-fill the cooling system with fresh coolant, verify the system and check carefully for leaks.
Replace the HVAC component damaged in the collision and continue working through the remaining systems.
The biggest early question has already been answered: the Genesis runs. Now the focus is on completing the supporting systems and working through the collision damage correctly rather than rushing toward a finished appearance.
This page will continue to evolve as each stage is completed, documenting the G80 from its non-running arrival through the final recovery.
See how the Genesis arrived, the problems uncovered along the way and the work required to bring it back.
